- 1. In food processor, mix together chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, sesame paste, cumin, salt and pepper until smooth. Add avocado; pulse until smooth (if too thick, add up to 2 tbsp water).
- 2. Transfer to serving bowl. Sprinkle with cilantro and sesame seeds. Serve with crackers for dipping.
Substitute lime juice for lemon juice.
- Spice up the hummus with a pinch of cayenne pepper or 1 finely chopped canned chipotle chili.
