We made some changes to make our crackers even tastier!

In September 2021 we switched from using safflower oil to olive oil on our Crunchmaster Multi-Seed, Multi-Grain, Grain-Free, and Multi-Grain 5 Seed crackers. We switched from using safflower oil to include a more premium oil in our products that still provides the same taste and crunch you love! This change comes from over two years of development and consumer testing to improve the overall liking of our Crunchmaster crackers, with olive oil being preferred.

Additionally, in September 2021 our Multi-Grain Sea Salt, Aged White Cheddar, and Garden Vegetable crackers no longer contain millet or quinoa seeds. This change comes from years of development and repeated consumer testing to improve the overall liking and taste of our Crunchmaster Multi-Grain crackers, with the new recipe being preferred by consumers like you.

Great question! Crunchmaster products are made with a traditional rice cracker technology from Japan called “Usuyaki.”  We start with pure, USA grown rice, add inclusions (like seeds), dry them to a precise moisture, bake them to perfection, and lightly coat them with a touch of heart-healthy olive oil and the highest quality seasonings.

The Protein Snack Crackers were recently reformulated to include more fiber per serving. During this update, new oat and corn fiber ingredients were added.

Crunchmaster products, when unopened, are best if served before 10 months from the production date. You can find the “best before” date printed on each package.  For our stand-up retail packages, you will locate the Best Before date printed on the bottom of the bag.  For our Club bag-in-box products, the Best Before date is printed on the foil package or top seal.  To keep Crunchmaster products fresh after opening, keep them in an airtight container in a dry, cool environment. Crunchmaster products can also be frozen to maintain maximum freshness. Simply thaw them for 15 minutes prior to serving.

It happens rarely, but it does occur when flax seeds enter the end of its shelf life.

Our club box is made from 100% recycled paperboard and is recyclable, but our resealable pouch packaging is not recyclable. For our club bag-in-box items, the box itself is recyclable but the foil bags are not. The packaging keeps the products fresh longer than other options. We are always looking for new ways to improve our packaging and hopefully we will be able to make a transition in the future.

You can request your local store carry Crunchmaster products by giving the store manager a written request to stock or restock the item. The more requests the store gets, the greater the chances the product will be stocked.

Due to limited Costco store space, Crunchmaster products are rotationally stocked. You can request your local Costco to carry this product on a regular basis by giving your local store manager a written request to restock the item. All the requests received by Costco go to the buyer in charge of that category. If you have family or friends who also happen to like the item, please encourage them to do the same. The more requests Costco gets, the greater the chances the product will be stocked.
