Rich Mocha Hummus

Ingredients

  • Crackers
  • 1 pkg (4 oz) Crunchmaster® Multi-Seed Original
  • Canned Goods
  • 1 can (19 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • Pantry
  • 1/3 cup tahini paste
  • 1/3 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • Oil and Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Baking and Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate shavings
  • Condiments
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Directions

  1. Place chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl; microwave on high, stirring every 30 seconds, for about 2 minutes or until melted.

 

  1. In food processor or blender, purée melted chocolate chips, chickpeas, tahini paste, espresso, oil, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt and maple syrup until smooth.

 

  1. Spoon into serving dish; garnish with shaved chocolate. Serve with crackers.

 

Tip: Substitute strong brewed coffee for brewed espresso if desired.
